Delhi Community Arena is a recreation center located in Delhi, Ontario, Canada. It is also known as the Delhi Community Centre. Located on 144 Western Avenue, the travel time from downtown is a very short driving distance away. ==Summary== The community centre itself has an open concept seating plan that has a total capacity of 150 people. The local ''Harvestfest'' has their opening ceremonies held every year in this location on the middle of September. Hockey teams from various age groups and levels compete here from the end of September to the end of March; including the Delhi Travellers minor league hockey team and the Delhi Rockets hockey team for children. There is a baseball field complete with a concession stand located just outside of the premises for summer time diversions in addition to an outdoor swimming pool, known locally as the Delhi Kinsmen Pool. With the help of local sponsors, Delhi Minor Baseball coordinates the fielding of baseball teams from ages 4 to 18. From the 1920s to the mid 1940s Delhi fielded many of the best baseball teams in Norfolk County. Baseball (hardball) waned for a number of years thereafter, and through the 1970s into the 1980s, Delhi youth switched to playing fastball. In subsequent years many who played baseball and fastball organized themselves to create a recreational adult Slo-Pitch league. This Slo-Pitch league is made up of Delhi teams sponsored by local businesses. These teams play against each other throughout the year and have a yearend championship tournament in September. It was not too long thereafter that Delhi Minor Baseball reorganized itself and once again started to field baseball teams. Delhi Minor Baseball is part of the Southern Counties Baseball Association, which includes Walsingham, Ingersoll, Tillsonburg, Aylmer, Simcoe, Port Dover and Caledonia. 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Delhi Community Arena」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
